Parallel Session : Digital Economy, Location Analytics and Big Data
"Innovative Techniques for Big Earth Observation Data Analysis"
- Wednesday, 21 November 2018
- 11:00 – 12:30 pm
E304, Exhibition Center
The session will be of interest to researchers and practitioners working at the frontier of Earth observation data analysis who have the mission to explore the full depth of big Earth observation data made openly available by the Group on Earth Observation (GEO) community. This session will demonstrate emerging new approaches of analyzing big Earth observation data enabled by recent developments in information technology including machine learning, artificial intelligence and cloud computing. The session also examines new remote sensing image classification methods and how new information generated by those innovative analysis approaches provide new knowledge of the environment that supports better decision-making.
