Overview

The Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) was established to provide the leadership to ensure that geospatial information and resources are coordinated, accessible, sustained and able to be leveraged by Member States and society for sustainable social, economic, and environmental development. The Committee provides a forum for coordination and dialogue with and among Member States and relevant international organizations on enhanced cooperation in the field of global geospatial information management for the achievement of its operations focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the United Nations Integrated Geospatial Information Framework (UN-IGIF), to strengthen and ensure its continued effectiveness and benefits to all Member States.

    Registration Guidance

  • Member States - To attend the firteenth session, you will need to comply with the formality of requesting your Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York to register the name(s) of all members of your delegationon in the e-deleGATE portal under ECOSOC/United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (https://edelegate.un.int) . Your Mission will then request grounds passes to the United Nations premises for you. The contact information for Permanent Missions is available on the following website: https://www.un.org/en/about-us/member-states . The e-deleGATE portal is now open.

  • Observers and UN System - If you are planning to attend the fifteenth session and to be invited to participate in the session as observer, please submit your expression of interest to participate using the online form at: https://forms.gle/K7dTx4pXM1gXfPa86 before Friday 11 July 2025. Confirmed observers will receive email with logistical arrangements on the events pass.
