World’s First Global Land Cover Datasets at a 30m Resolution, GlobeLand30, China

China has donated to the United Nations the first open-access, high-resolution map of Earth's land cover, on 22 September 2014, as a contribution towards global sustainable development and combating climate change.The GlobeLand30 datasets are freely available and comprise ten types of land cover, including forests, artificial surfaces and wetlands etc, for the years 2000 and 2010. They were extracted from more than 20,000 Landsat and Chinese HJ-1 satellite images.  Plese see the detailed information at www.globeland30.org
