The Third Meeting of the UN-GGIM for the Arab States took place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from 23-25 February 2016. The meeting was organized by the UN-GGIM: Arab States Secretariat in collaboration with the Military Survey Department, UAE, and UN-GGIM Secretariat. The objective of this meeting is to review the progress made since the second meeting, and share national experiences of the countries in the region in the use of geospatial information and the building of national geospatial infrastructures. More specifically, the Regional Committee meeting will review the functioning of the technical Working Groups and discuss the Committee's programme for the next stage. All Arab countries were invited. The Host country provided hotel accommodations, food and transportation to all the participants.
